Geisinger is proud to offer a Patient Care Technician a $1500 sign on bonus for eligible candidates, $18.94 minimum hiring rate with increased rates for experienced individuals and up to $3 shift differentials for evening, nights, and weekend shifts! Job Duties :
The ACE Nursing Model of Care utilizes more Patient Care Technician staff to take responsibility for and perform the duties that do not require a nursing license, freeing the licensed nurse to perform the advanced skills that align with nursing education and training.
This new model of care allows Patient Care Technicians more opportunity for career advancement, autonomy in their role, and greater involvement in the delivery of patient care.

May perform a wide variety of advanced patient care duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and maintains the patient care and unit environment consistent with the policies, procedures, and practices. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in the specific age range on their assigned clinical area.
Position Details :
AP5 Advanced Acute Care Medical
Schedule : Three 12-hour Night shifts (7 : 00pm - 7 : 30am) including every other weekend and holiday.
Required Orientation : At the start of employment, a two-week classroom orientation is required with a schedule of Monday - Friday, 7 : 00am - 3 : 30pm.
No experience needed. Comprehensive on the job training provided.
Education : High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)- (Required)
Certification(s) and License(s) : Basic Life Support Certification within 6 months - Default Issuing Body
Skills : Communication, Computer Literacy, Customer Service, Teamwork
