Job Description

We are seeking a skilled machinist to produce parts for equipment used in the mining industry. The ideal candidate will have the ability to interpret blueprints and drawings to manufacture parts to precise specifications.

Responsibilities

• Machine parts for mining equipment using CNC and manual machinery.
• Read and understand blueprints and drawings to manufacture parts to specifications.
• Set up and edit CNC machine programs and / or milling machines and lathes using the appropriate equipment.
• Perform daily maintenance of CNC and manual machinery.
• Read, interpret, and follow standard operation procedures to ensure a consistent manufacturing approach.
• Hold prescribed tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Utilize programming software for applicable CNC machines.

Work Environment

This position is for the 1st shift, from 6 am to 2 : 30 pm, Monday through Friday. The work environment is nostalgic, with an older building and equipment, which can be dirty at times.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $25.00 / hr.
