Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Yard & Warehouse Associate to join our East Hartford team. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role responsible for handling shipping, receiving, and general yard operations. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-minded, and capable of working independently while maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments, including construction materials, tools, and equipment.

Pull, stage, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.

Receive, verify, and process incoming materials and products; enter inventory into the system.

Stock, organize, and maintain inventory of construction materials in warehouse and yard areas.

Sort, label, and replenish inventory to ensure accuracy, availability, and proper storage.

Assist with intercompany transfers, ensuring proper documentation and tracking.

Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.

Maintain clean, safe, and organized yard and warehouse areas.

Assist with rental equipment check-ins and check-outs as needed.

Provide excellent customer service to contractors, drivers, and internal teams while supporting general yard and warehouse maintenance.

Qualifications :

Forklift operation experience required

Previous experience in warehouse, shipping / receiving, or yard operations preferred.

Familiarity with construction materials, tools, and equipment is a plus.

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical work in all weather conditions.

Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
