Job Title : Wellness & Health Promotion Lecturer - Env Justice PH 5350
Oakland University is seeking a passionate and dedicated instructor to teach an environmental justice course to Master of Public Health students. The course focuses on how environmental factors affect the health of groups and populations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in environmental justice and public health, with a commitment to equity and social justice.
Responsibilities
- Develop and teach a course on environmental justice that explores the intersection of environment, health, and social inequality
- Engage students in critical thinking and analysis of environmental justice issues and their impact on marginalized communities
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success
- Contribute to the development and growth of the Environmental Justice program and curriculum
- Address and assess the student learning outcomes stated in the syllabus, and issue timely course grades
- Adhere to the general terms outlined for lecturers and follow the University guidelines for instruction and grading as stated in the university catalog.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications : Master’s or Doctoral degree in Public Health, Community Health, Environmental Science, or relevant degree.Must be available to teach at Oakland University (Auburn Hills) on Wednesdays from 5 : 30 pm – 7 : 17 pm.Additional Information
