Job Responsibilities :
Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients of all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.Administer respiratory medications via aerosol, MDI, or other delivery systems.Perform and monitor oxygen therapy (ET tube, trach collar, HFNC, T-piece, bag and mask).Manage and troubleshoot mechanical ventilation, including SIMV, CPAP, BiPAP, and weaning protocols.Conduct arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpretation.Assist with and perform bronchoscopies, intubations, a-line insertions, and tracheostomy care.Provide care for patients with ARDS, pneumonia, aspiration, COVID-19, and other acute respiratory conditions.Deliver neonatal and pediatric respiratory care, including bubble CPAP, nasal CPAP / BiPAP, and neonatal intubation assist.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and participate in patient transport as needed.Utilize EPIC charting for accurate documentation of patient assessments and treatments.Required Skills & Experience :
Active Maryland Respiratory Care Practitioner license (required)Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT)Minimum of 3 years of recent respiratory therapy experienceEPIC charting experience (required)Competence in ventilator management, medication delivery systems, and airway management techniquesExperience in community hospital or acute care setting (required)NICU experience highly preferred; candidates with neonatal intubation and bubble CPAP / HFNC skills also consideredAbout HonorVet Technologies
