About the Role :

The Assistant Swim Lessons Helper plays a vital role in supporting the swim instructors to deliver safe, effective, and enjoyable swim lessons at the Oahe Family YMCA . This position focuses on assisting with the preparation and execution of swim classes, ensuring that all participants receive attentive guidance and encouragement. The role requires close collaboration with instructors to maintain a safe aquatic environment, monitor swimmers’ progress, and provide individualized support to learners of varying skill levels. The Assistant Swim Lessons Helper contributes to fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere that promotes water safety and confidence in the pool. Minimum Qualifications :

• Basic swimming ability and comfort in the water.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and respond calmly in emergency situations.
• Strong communication skills to interact with children, parents, and staff.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality for scheduled lessons.
• Minimum age of 14 years or as required by local regulations.
