About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 8 hours (07 : 30 - 16 : 00)

Experience : Minimum 2 years RN experience, with at least 1 year in Stress Testing

License : IL RN License

Certifications : ACLS, BLS

Must-Have :

• Must be able to perform independently
• Experience with exercise echocardiograms, dobutamine exercise echocardiograms, and nuclear medicine stress tests

Description : Start ASAP.

The role requires a registered nurse with two years of experience.

Candidates must have at least one year of experience in stress testing.

The registered nurse will work independently.

Stress test days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

The current RN averages 4 to 6 tests a day.

A cardiologist may be on-site, or the RN will work under supervision of an MD for emergencies and questions.

The RN will collaborate with a nuclear medicine technician who administers medications.

The position involves performing exercise stress tests, pharmacological stress tests, and stress echocardiograms.

Understanding contraindications to stress testing and various ergometry protocols is essential.

The RN will need to monitor and interpret tests, starting peripheral IVs, and manage dysrhythmias.

Follow-up phone calls and discharge instructions will also be part of the responsibilities.

Additional skills include the calculation of rates, pressure, and products related to stress tests.
