Christmas Driver

Drives truck, van, or automobile over established route to deliver and collect food, toys and supplies / inner-office mail to assist the Salvation Army Chico Corps with Christmas efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Provides assistance with dropping off and picking up kettles at assigned locations.
• Assists with delivering and collecting toy and food barrels for seasonal drives.
• Provides assistance with pickups and deliveries related to Christmas programs and other special events.
• Helps with loading and unloading food, toys, and other donated items from trucks or storage areas.
• Cleans and maintains the inside of the truck.
• Inspects the vehicle regularly and reports any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
• Maintains an organized, safe, and clean work environment.
• Adheres to all Salvation Army policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Attends meetings and trainings as required by The Salvation Army.
• Acts as a positive role model within and outside the agency.
• Maintains a positive and respectful attitude toward coworkers, volunteers, and community partners.
• Communicates regularly with the supervisor regarding property, vehicle, or program-related issues.
• Consistently reports to work on time, prepared to perform the duties of the position.
• Performs other related duties as assigned to support the mission and programs of The Salvation Army.
