HVAC JR. MECHANIC

As an HVAC Apprentice you will assist experienced technicians with installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for a company that handles service work and site maintenance for national accounts.

Job responsibilities and requirements include :

• Assisting in the servicing of products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Using a variety of hand tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units
• Identifying, analyzing, diagnosing, and repairing systems and products at customer's location
• Performing preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers
• Preparing for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work, as necessary
• Inspecting vehicles by checking vehicle condition and cleanliness
• Maintaining vehicles by keeping records of service, scheduling, and complete repairs and maintenance service
• Maintaining equipment by inspecting for signs of wear and notifying the customer and / or Operations Manager of findings
• Documenting work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files
• Representing the company by serving as a direct customer contact
• Determining parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need
• Recording parts, material, labor, subs, and other cost data per assignment and returning unused resources
• Turning in all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner
• Keeping current on all products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair
• Reading and interpreting product specifications
• Providing technical support to customers
• A strong willingness to learn and a positive attitude are crucial
• Flexibility to work overtime / weekends as necessary
• Regular travel requirements with some overnight travel, as needed
