  • Location : Lynchburg, VA 24503 (Virginia nursing jobs)\n
  • Assignment Length : 13 weeks (9 / 22 / 2025 – 12 / 20 / 2025)\n
  • Shift : 12-hour nights; every other weekend required\n
  • Hours per Week : 36\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary : $1880 - $2020\n
  • Employment Type : Travel Nursing (Registered Nurse contract)\n
  • Unit : Labor & Delivery\n
  • Float Required : No\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active Virginia or Compact RN license (Registered Nurse license)\n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience\n
  • Previous travel nursing experience required\n
  • BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification or equivalent)\n
  • Cerner EMR experience preferred\n
  • All requested time off must be submitted with application\n
  • COVID / Flu vaccine declinations accepted with approved documentation\n
  • Locals within 60 miles are not eligible\n

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a busy Labor & Delivery unit\n
  • Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs; respond promptly to clinical changes\n
  • Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals\n
  • Educate and support patients and families throughout the labor and delivery process\n
  • Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Cerner EMR\n
  • Support a positive learning environment for students and new hires\n
  • Comply with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards\n
