Registered Nurse Job Details Location : Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare job) Healthcare Setting : General Surgery Clinic (SurgiCare homebase; float to main OR as needed) Assignment Length : 13 weeks (July 1, 2024 - September 30, 2024) Shift : 4x10 hour day shifts per week; call required Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Estimated Weekly Pay : $2,260 - $2,420 per week Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse OR RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New York RN license preferred) Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) nursing experience Experience with eye procedures required Ability to take call at both SurgiCare and main OR locations Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support) Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities Serve as an OR RN Circulator for a variety of surgical procedures, with a focus on ophthalmic (eye) surgeries Float between SurgiCare and main operating room as needed, with SurgiCare as your primary assignment Participate in call rotation at both surgical locations Ensure patient safety and deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the multidisciplinary surgical team Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital protocols Experience the best of New York healthcare while working as a travel nurse in Ithaca.
