Senior Registered Nurse

Job Description

The competent nurse in a clinical setting practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of relevant aspects. Provides routine and complex care with long-range goals or plans. Develops ability to cope with and manage clinical contingencies.

Responsibilities include :

• Meeting expectations of OneCHRISTUS Competencies : Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders
• Providing nursing care using the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Addressing complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administering medications and treatments, monitoring side-effects, and documenting patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given
• Assessing learning needs and providing education to patients, family members, and caregivers
