Job Description
The competent nurse in a clinical setting practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of relevant aspects. Provides routine and complex care with long-range goals or plans. Develops ability to cope with and manage clinical contingencies.
Responsibilities include :
- Meeting expectations of OneCHRISTUS Competencies : Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders
- Providing nursing care using the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
- Addressing complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Administering medications and treatments, monitoring side-effects, and documenting patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given
- Assessing learning needs and providing education to patients, family members, and caregivers
Key Qualifications Include :
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred1 year of experience in related nursing specialty, preferredRequired Licenses and Certifications Include :
BLS requiredRN License in state of employment or compactAdditional Requirements :

Perinatal RN Residency or recently practicing in Perinatal Setting, preferredCurrent STABLE certification required from one of the following courses : Participant, Lead Instructor, or Support InstructorCurrent NRP certification requiredGrace Periods Apply :
