Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A leadership position is available for a Pharmacist in Charge to oversee pharmacy operations in Cambridge, MA. This role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist with recent management experience, particularly in long-term care (LTC), who is ready to take responsibility for ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage daily pharmacy operations including prescription dispensing, medication counseling, and patient care services
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing pharmacy practice
- Maintain accurate records for prescriptions, inventory, and controlled substances
- Develop and implement policies that optimize pharmacy safety and efficiency
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians
- Oversee inventory management to balance adequate stock and reduce waste
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve medication-related issues
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and complaints promptly
- Conduct audits and inspections to uphold safety and compliance standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with industry changes
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment
Qualifications :
Active Massachusetts Pharmacist license in good standing2 to 4 years of experience in long-term care pharmacyRecent experience managing pharmacy staff and operationsStrong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, safety, and quality practicesExcellent leadership and communication skillsSchedule :
