Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Home Health RN with at least 6 months of home health experience, NM or compact RN license, and BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

Home health setting serving a caseload of approximately 1 : 5

Day shifts, 5x8 hours from 8 : 00 to 16 : 30

No weekend or on-call requirements

Care territory extends up to 35 miles from the base

Uses Cerner for charting, prior Cerner experience preferred but not required

No floating to other units is required

Primary responsibilities include providing direct patient care in patient homes and supporting diverse populations, including homes with children

Mileage reimbursement is provided at the federal IRS standard rate

Scrub color is black

No cost for parking at the facility

First-time travelers are accepted

Travelers may work up to 12 consecutive months before a required break

Perm employees may return as travelers after a 12-month separation

Holiday time off is restricted to one approved holiday bundle; time off exceeding 7 days requires approval

Orientation includes required modules and in-person MOAB certification if not already held

Requirements

Active NM or compact RN license, pending license accepted

BCLS certification is required

MOAB certification required; if not already certified, must complete a 4-hour in-person de-escalation course during the first week

At least 6 months to 1 year of recent home health nursing experience is required

COVID-19 vaccination required, with medical and religious exemptions accepted upon documentation

No local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are eligible

Non-local Driver’s License required or a written transportation plan must be provided

Second set of fingerprints will be required upon arrival for CYFD compliance

RQI certifications are not accepted
