Labor & Delivery RN Job Details Location : Asheville, NC 28801 (North Carolina nursing jobs) Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Unit : Labor & Delivery (16-bed unit) Start Date : October 6, 2025 End Date : January 5, 2026 Duration : 13-week contract Shift : 12-hour nights (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1620 - $1660 Scrubs Provided Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (Registered Nurse, North Carolina or compact state) Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience High-risk Labor & Delivery experience required Immediate newborn care skills Required Certifications : NRP, BLS / ALS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring Experience with Baxter Pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring preferred Familiarity with Cerner EMR and Fetal ink systems is a plus At least 1 year of overall nursing experience required Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns in a 16-bed Labor & Delivery unit Manage high-risk deliveries and provide immediate newborn care Assist with and circulate for procedures including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-hyst Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including charge nurses, PCTs, CSTs, and other RNs Float to related units as needed (MFMU, MOMB, NICU) Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Cerner EMR Demonstrate adaptability, strong communication, and a positive, team-oriented attitude Experience the unique rewards of a travel nursing job in Asheville, NC—where you can make a difference in maternal and newborn health while enjoying the city’s welcoming community and scenic mountain views.
