Position Summary We’re seeking a full-time Senior Fashion Designer (official title : Senior Designer I) for our Los Angeles-based corporate office. NYA SZN is a next-generation fashion brand on SHEIN working to carve out a distinct point of view through elevated design, intentional storytelling, and a customer-first mindset. As we enter a pivotal stage of growth, we’re seeking a Senior Designer with the expertise, originality, and executional excellence to help define and refine the brand’s creative direction. This is not a role for trend chasers—we’re looking for a creative leader who can bring fresh perspective, technical skill, and an entrepreneurial approach to a fast-paced and evolving environment. The right candidate will be instrumental in helping NYA SZN evolve into a more cohesive, differentiated brand through thoughtful, style-driven capsules.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly design capsules with 80+ original, elevated styles across key categories (dresses, sets, outerwear, separates, etc.)
  • Interpret trend direction, market insights, and cultural moments into compelling design concepts
  • Build monthly creative direction boards that set the tone through color, silhouette, styling, and fabric
  • Create detailed tech packs and manage development from initial concept through sample approval
  • Review fit samples virtually and provide clear, actionable technical comments to overseas teams
  • Collaborate with product development, styling, and creative teams to align product execution and brand storytelling
  • Contribute to fabric, trim, and wash development in line with SHEIN pricing and lead time requirements
  • Support seasonal product edits and styling recommendations to ensure a cohesive and compelling assortment

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in trend-led, fast-paced fashion design environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field
  • Expertise in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; CLO or 3D software is a plus
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and fabrication across multiple categories
  • High taste level with a sharp eye for silhouette, color, and styling
  • Ability to manage high design volume while maintaining quality and originality
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with overseas production teams
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and thrives in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment
