POSITION SUMMARY
The Nurse Manager oversees medical services within the ORR program, ensuring the health and well-being of unaccompanied minors under the program’s care. This role requires the coordination of healthcare needs, development and implementation of healthcare protocols, and compliance with federal, state, and ORR regulations. The Nurse Manager also provides supervision to nursing staff, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and supporting the integration of trauma-informed practices in all medical services.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
Lead daily healthcare services for minors in the ORR program.
Supervise, train, and schedule nursing staff.
Coordinate medical care : screenings, immunizations, individualized health plans.
Ensure compliance with ORR policies, HIPAA, and state regulations.
Collaborate with case managers, mental health, and education staff for holistic care.
Provide health education and staff training on safety, hygiene, and trauma-informed care.
Respond to medical emergencies and support disaster preparedness.
Expand and coordinate medical services with external providers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES :
Education / Background
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s (MSN) preferred.
3–5 years pediatric / community health nursing; 2+ years supervisory experience.
Experience with unaccompanied minors, refugee populations, or ORR programs preferred.
Valid RN license in state of employment.
CPR & First Aid preferred.
Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean record.
Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred.
Must pass background check and drug screening.
