Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with a valid CA license and strong interventional cardiology skills for a hospital-based contract.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

Work in the Cath Lab of an acute care hospital with 150 staffed beds

Patient caseload of 8-12 per day

Perform procedures including coronary and peripheral diagnostics and interventions, and permanent pacemakers

Uses Epic for charting, Epic experience required

Day shift with 4x10 hour schedule, 8 : 30 to 17 : 00

Weekend and on-call duties are required

Scrubs provided for Cath Lab staff

Floating to affiliate hospitals or departments in-state may be required

Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures for patients with cardiac and vascular conditions

First-time travelers are accepted for this position

Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities and refusal may result in contract termination

RTO must be approved at time of offer; limited RTO is preferred

Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year

Scrub attire for Cath Lab is provided

Free parking provided initially, with assignment-specific parking determined during orientation

Must not have been a permanent staff member within the last 3 months and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility

Comprehensive orientation consists of 30 hours, with required pre-start and annual modules

\n \n Requirements\n

Active CA RN license required

Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience

BLS and ACLS certifications required

Valid ARRT and Fluoroscopy Permit required (pending Fluoro permit accepted if already applied)

RCIS only is not accepted

Epic charting system proficiency required

Must provide two supervisory references from within the last three years in a similar specialty or setting
