Summary :
The Operations Engineer drives operational excellence through process optimization, system enhancement, and cross-functional project leadership. This role analyzes workflows, implements standardized processes, and partners with IT and business teams to improve tools and systems.
Responsibilities include leading initiatives such as process improvements, optimizing warehouse layout and equipment, managing end-to-end fulfillment operations across diverse business types, and promoting Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and DMAIC practices. The role ensures operational efficiency, cost control, and compliance with safety standards while supporting continuous improvement and business growth.
Job Responsibilities :
Process Improvement & Standardization – Proactively observe and analyze workflows across multiple regions to identify root causes of inefficiencies and drive scalable improvements. Develop and standardize core design and process documentation to enable consistent network operations. Lead deep-dive data analysis to identify defects and implement corrective actions using Lean, Kaizen, and DMAIC methodologies.
System & Technology Enhancement – Act as the liaison between Operations and Tech / Product teams to define business requirements (user stories, use cases) and execute software or system enhancements. Ensure tools and platforms evolve to support new business models, process changes, and automation needs.
Fulfillment Operations & Engineering Support – Oversee local fulfillment operations, ensuring process efficiency and cost control through optimized warehouse layout, material flow design, and equipment selection. Support system integration and workflow design across various business types and operational models.
Performance & Continuous Improvement – Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify gaps and opportunities. Conduct experiments and implement innovations that enhance customer value and delivery performance. Lead post-launch reviews, incorporate feedback, and adjust processes for continuous improvement and scalability.
Equipment, Material & Risk Management – Manage warehouse equipment and material readiness, ensuring operational reliability. Maintain compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards while communicating project risks, mitigation actions, and progress to leadership.
Project Ownership & Cross-Functional Collaboration – Lead cross-functional and company-wide initiatives, such as Outbound Process Optimization, warehousing and logistics services Integration, and Fulfillment Network Expansion. Partner with stakeholders from Fulfillment, ICQA, Supply Chain, Transportation, Product Management, Customer Service, and Finance to align priorities and deliver on project goals.
Business Planning & Stakeholder Communication – Contribute to strategic business planning by providing operational insights, prioritizing process deployment goals, and aligning resources. Present performance metrics, project outcomes, and improvement results to leadership and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications and Requirements :
Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Operations Engineering, Process Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience.
Strong improvement-oriented mindset, with deep understanding and practical application of Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, DMAIC, and root cause analysis methodologies.
Proven management experience in manufacturing, production, or distribution environments, with the ability to lead, develop, and coach associates and managers toward key operational goals.
Demonstrated cross-functional project management capability, driving initiatives that improve systems, tools, and processes for greater innovation and efficiency.
Experience collaborating with technical teams to propose and implement system enhancements and technology-driven process optimizations.
Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills, with the ability to Deep Dive, identify trends, and develop innovative solutions.
Proficiency in SQL, Excel (Pivot Table, VLOOKUP), AutoCAD, MS Project, and Tableau.
Skilled in developing and communicating performance metrics to multiple audiences; able to influence without authority and gain stakeholder buy-in.
Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management abilities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
E-commerce operations experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and master new or unfamiliar domains with enthusiasm and precision.
