Duties

Manage legal cases from start to finish in probate, family law, estate planning, or estate administration

Draft legal documents for client signing and court filings

Represent clients in both contested and uncontested court hearings

Conduct legal research and stay updated on applicable laws

Maintain detailed case documentation and client communications

Collaborate with legal team and support staff

Ensure compliance with court procedures and deadlines

Handle client consultations and provide legal advice

Uphold confidentiality and professional conduct at all times

Requirements

Prior experience in probate, family law, estate planning, or estate administration

Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and meet billable hour requirements

Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Capable of working independently and collaboratively

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Comfortable with client interaction and courtroom advocacy

Education

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

Active and in good standing with the Michigan State Bar

Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and client management systems

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

Skilled in legal research and document drafting

Ability to quickly grasp legal concepts and procedural rules
