This position is located on-site in Hamilton, WA.
Position Description
The CMM Programmer will coordinate and support all activities concerning the CMM's including programming, troubleshooting, planned maintenance, annual certifications, repairs, upgrades, etc. They will develop and maintain software programs that control Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to inspect and verify the quality of manufactured parts against design specifications. A strong understanding of CNC programming, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and various CMM software is essential for this role.
- Develop CMM programs using metrology software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso or similar, often based on engineering drawings and CAD data
- Set up fixtures, probes, and measurement tools according to inspection requirements
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures
- Ability to use and interpret aerospace drawings and specifications including strong GD&T skills and experience
- Design 3D computer models, drawings, and specifications for the fabrication of fixturing elements
- A strong understanding of how to program offline using a CAD model
- Create work instructions, setup instructions, and perform training events to ensure Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) operators can efficiently operate the machine and execute measurement programs
- Operate CMMs and other manual inspection equipment to conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections of parts and assemblies
- Analyze measurement data to confirm conformance to specifications and generate comprehensive inspection reports detailing results and any deviations
- Provides input into production tracking systems to ensure efficient workflows
- Collaborates with process engineers to plan manufacturing processes, achieving quality and design objectives
- Develops shop documentation in compliance with ISO 9000 and AS9100 standards
- Analyzes laser-tracking data to verify the quality of setups, as applicable
- Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) maintenance
- Exhibits the ability to meet and manage multiple deadlines while working effectively under pressure
- Maintains professionalism and always demonstrates cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors
- Performs other duties as assigned

Wage range for this role is between $27 - $47 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki's estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.Benefits
