Health & Wellness Advocate
80 hours / pay
8 : 00am – 4 : 30pm
Some Nights and Weekends
Scheurer Health, a critical access rural hospital, is seeking a full-time Health & Wellness Advocate in the Community Wellness Department.
Responsibilities :
- Inspiring the community to develop healthier lifestyle habits through outreach programs.
- Supporting the community through prevention, education, and awareness based on community needs and wellness trends.
- Coordinating and instructing community programs, fitness programs, facilitating 5K races, book club, summer recreation programs, Instructing CPR, and First Aid programs, and more outreach programs.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Creative, innovative ideas, out of the box thinking, software experience, and clerical duties.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in health, communication, or a related field, or currently pursuing one with an expected completion within one year of hire.Candidate must be a certified instructor by The American Heart Association to teach CPR / First Aid, or certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire date.Must have a background in fitness or be open to obtaining a fitness certification within six months of starting the role.Great customer service and be able to interact with all age groups.This position includes some evening and weekend hours.Benefits :
