Location : Spencer, Iowa (51301) – Iowa travel nursing jobs

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Unit : Medical-Surgical Adult, Med-Surg Orthopedic

Start Date : November 9, 2025

End Date : February 8, 2026

Duration : 13-week nursing contract

Shift : Nights, 6 : 30 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour shifts)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,880 - $2,020 per week

Weekend Rotation : Every other or every third weekend, based on staffing

Float : May float to additional nursing departments based on census

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse) – Iowa or compact state

Minimum of 2 years of recent Med / Surg nursing experience

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certifications preferred

Strong clinical skills and compassionate patient care approach

Ability to adapt and float to other clinical departments as needed

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and orthopedic Med / Surg patients

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers

Educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge instructions

Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment

Float to other nursing departments as required based on patient census
