General Summary

The Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse Reviewer (CCLNR) is responsible for accurate clinical screening, data compilation, and entry of all eligible procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This position collaborates closely with clinical quality and measurement teams to identify opportunities for quality improvement and special projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure reliable, accurate, and timely data collection using Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Identify cath lab patients for registry inclusion by applying strict program criteria.
  • Demonstrate understanding and application of program methodologies and definitions.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements for data collection efficiency.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor additional quality indicators and efficiency measures beyond registry requirements.

Education

Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.

Experience

At least three years of inpatient cardiac catheterization nursing experience is preferred. Knowledge of quality improvement and patient safety principles is advantageous.

Certification / License

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with compact licensure eligibility is required.

Mental / Physical Requirements

This role requires considerable mental focus for extended periods with frequent interruptions. Light lifting up to 15 lbs., standing, sitting, and walking are part of the daily routine.

Working Conditions

Typical office environment with potential noise and distractions. Prolonged computer use may cause eye strain or discomfort.
