Responsibilities Work in a hospital Med / Surg Tele Float Pool Float to units of equal or lower acuity as needed Night shift schedule with 3 x 12-hour shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM 36 hours per week required Care for adult Med / Surg and telemetry patients with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 4-5 Utilizes Epic as the EMR system Provide comprehensive nursing care within the Med / Surg and telemetry float pool Flexibility required to float among various units of equivalent or lower acuity levels Holiday and weekend shifts may be required Compliance with Ohio fingerprinting process is mandatory and must be completed promptly Time off requests must be submitted and approved as part of the contract Former employees eligible after being away for at least 6 months; current employees at Ohio State University hospitals are ineligible Local candidates are accepted Requirements Active OH or compact RN license in hand at the time of consideration Minimum of 2 years Med / Surg experience required Current BCLS certification required Proficient with IV starts and telemetry monitoring Experience using Epic electronic health records system required Completion of accredited nursing education program (ACEN or CCNE) Submission of 2 professional references, with at least 1 from a manager, director, or charge RN Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-615774.
