Overview

AmTrust E&S Insurance Services, a member of the AmTrust group of companies, is searching for an experienced and knowledgeable Property Underwriter to join the E&S Property team. The Underwriter will have frequent interactions with wholesale brokers in providing coverage for new and renewal business based on customer's needs. The ideal candidate will work in a team environment, demonstrate a strong customer focus that will reinforce the departments appetite and strategy. This candidate will possess strong decision-making skills, be detailed oriented, able to build & sustain broker relationships, be results driven, and have a track record of working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Help develop and maintain an E&S Property portfolio by communicating, executing, and producing within the departments business plan.

• Analyze, review and negotiate policy terms and conditions that are in line with the departments underwriting guidelines.
• Underwrite targeted new and renewal business by reviewing and analyzing insureds (or prospective insureds) loss history, exposures, and other pertinent information.
• Contribute to the marketing plans, product analysis, services, geographic focus and broker intelligence.
• Perform related duties as requested to include report preparation, and special projects to assist in ensuring the success of the product line unit.
• Seek out and develop new relationships with wholesale brokers.
