job_description.job_card.job_descriptionPosition is within a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool, floating between multiple pediatric critical care units as needed Care provided to critically ill and injured children admitted with medical and surgical problems including head injuries, neuro disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, and multi-system organ failure 12-hour day or evening shifts, 7 : 00am–7 : 30pm, Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required Telemetry skills and ability to pass a telemetry test are required prior to start EPIC EMR system is utilized and recent experience is required Travelers are given first float priority and may be assigned to alternate units if necessary Provide comprehensive, family-centered critical care to pediatric patients with complex needs in a state-of-the-art 21-bed unit Work as part of a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team of pediatric specialists Mandatory orientation program is provided prior to starting on the unit Testing for telemetry competency required before assignment can begin Holiday and weekend rotation is required per unit guidelines First-time travelers may be considered in select units Scrub or dress code details will be provided in the department welcome letter Active WI or compact RN license in hand at the time of consideration BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required Minimum of 2 years acute care Pediatric ICU experience within the last 3 years Strong experience with cardiac step-down and general cardiac cases preferred Basic arrhythmia interpretation experience required Ability to pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to start EPIC charting experience within the past 12 months preferred Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred Permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
