Title : X-Ray Technologist

Location : Columbia, SC 29203

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 4x10-Hour Day Shifts (09 : 00 AM – 07 : 30 PM) (Variable days each week)

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist to join the Radiology team for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in performing diagnostic imaging procedures across multiple settings, including emergency, operating room, and intensive care environments, with a strong understanding of trauma and fluoroscopic imaging.

Job Requirements

Experience :

  • Minimum 1 year (2 years preferred).
  • 1-year candidates must have full-time experience at a Level I Trauma and Children’s Hospital with demonstrated OR and fluoroscopy skills.
  • Certifications :

  • ARRT (R) – Required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
  • South Carolina State License (SCRQSA) – Active status required (no pending licenses)
  • Charting System : Epic – Required

    First-Time Travelers : Not accepted

    Trauma Experience : Level I or II – Preferred

    Skills & Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations for adult and pediatric patients.
  • Conduct imaging in ER, ICU, NICU, PICU, and OR settings.
  • Execute portable / bedside procedures and C-arm fluoroscopy studies (e.g., barium swallow, esophagram).
  • Manage and prioritize trauma cases efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain patient safety, quality control, and compliance with hospital and ARRT standards.
  • Float to other qualified units as required.
