Warehouse Associate

Adecco is assisting a local client recruiting for Warehouse Associate opportunities in Ruskin FL. Responsibilities for a Warehouse Associate include but are not limited to :

  • Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing items for processing.
  • Read customer orders, work orders, and shipping documents to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped.
  • Ensure warehouse areas are safe and accessible for both employees and customers.
  • Complete all work in a safe manner while adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Assemble products, participate in inventory counts, and validate load data for accounting accuracy.
  • Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries, verifying that loads arrive on time and in good condition.

Candidates for Warehouse Associate must meet the following requirements to be considered :

  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull at least 75 pounds and safely load / unload trucks.
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to use handheld scanners.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, based on freight volume.
  • Prior dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written, verbal, or diagram instructions.
