The Village of Lodgepole is seeking a dedicated and skilled utility and maintenance personnel to oversee the daily operation and upkeep of the Village’s utilities, infrastructure, and public spaces. This hands-on leadership role ensures the safety, efficiency, and reliability of essential services while supporting community pride and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the Utility & Maintenance Assistant (hiring, training, scheduling, and reviews).
- Operate and maintain the Village water and wastewater systems, ensuring compliance
with standards.
Maintain streets, curbs, culverts, and signage, including timely snow removal.Oversee parks, public lots, buildings, and recreational facilities.Operate and maintain heavy equipment (motor grader, loader, backhoe, etc.).Direct sanitation, recycling, mosquito control, and tree dump operations.Respond to citizen concerns and emergency calls; attend monthly Board of Trusteesmeetings.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and safety training compliance.Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.Valid driver’s license with insurable record; ability to obtain a Class B CDL.Must possess or be able to obtain :Class IV Water Operator’s CertificationCathodic Tank CertificationLagoon Exemption CertificationAt least one year of maintenance experience, including use of construction equipment.Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Requirements
Ability to respond within two (2) hours to emergency calls.Ability to work outdoors in all weather and perform heavy labor.Must pass a background check and drug screening.Compensation Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
