Description :

Looking for an experienced registered nurse to join our progressive care unit.

The unit has a total of 20 beds with a patient ratio of 4 : 1.

Staffing includes Nurse Externs, Patient Care Technicians, Registered Nurses, a Manager, and a Director.

The type of equipment used includes ZOLL devices, Baxter pumps, GE telemetry monitors, Hillrom beds, Centrella Specialty beds, and Kangaroo pumps.

The documentation system in use is Expanse.

Nurses are required to work every other weekend, as well as holidays or other hard-to-fill shifts, including two Mondays and two Fridays in the schedule.

Floating to other step-down units and med-surge units may be required, maintaining appropriate ratios.

Mandatory skills include administering cardiac drips and managing patients post-cardiac catheterization without intervention.

The unit frequently utilizes BIPAP / CPAP and high-flow oxygen systems, as well as managing chest tubes.

Occasional bedside cardioversion procedures may be performed, with appropriate staff available for recovery.

Attendance is crucial, with shifts starting promptly at 07 : 00 or 19 : 00; late arrivals are not tolerated.

Mandatory attendance at shift huddles and bedside shift reports is required for all patients, including those in isolation.
