Overview

Manager, Content Insights at STARZ — you will be a key player in understanding how our subscribers engage with our content and the value it brings to our business. You will be a master storyteller, using data visualizations to paint a clear picture of content performance and platform health to provide actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on STARZ content performance and consumption, translating data into compelling narratives that resonate with stakeholders across the company
  • Build and manage cross-platform performance reports and dashboards, using data visualization techniques to highlight key performance indicators and trends across core demographics
  • Support regular evaluation of the value of our content to the business, informing acquisition and programming decisions
  • Collaborate with the Insights & Analytics team and Data Product Engineering teams to develop a holistic understanding of the Starz subscriber interactions with the service and ensure data integrity and accuracy of relevant data tables

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in business analytics, data engineering, and / or data science, with a proven ability to extract insights from complex datasets
  • Strong database skills (e.g., Snowflake), experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), and proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
  • Experience in the media industry, particularly with an SVOD or OTT platform, is highly preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication for technical and non-technical audiences, including senior executives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel), and familiarity with third-party data and tools (e.g., Nielsen, Antenna+, S&P Global, Vendor Central) is a plus
  • Ability to operate independently, identify strategic goals, and manage projects effectively to support the company's business needs
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and colleagues to solve cross-functional challenges
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis, machine learning concepts, and data science environments (e.g., Python) is a plus
  • B.A. or B.S. in relevant fields such as (but not limited to) Communications, Computer Science, Finance, Applied Mathematics, Economics, or Engineering

    $100,000-$120,000
