Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Hardware (Analog and Digital Circuit Design) for Industrial / Medical / Consumer Electronics. Located near Columbia, SC. Job Function
- Manage / Lead a team of 5+ Engineers.
- Develop and manage the overall circuit design / layout, schematics & component selection, and PCB layout at the board level to support embedded controller, power, USB, analog & digital devices and communications protocols; design essential motherboards with embedded controllers for next-gen equipment.
- Work to launch prototype hardware through production launch.
- Develop new designs of boards with electrical functionality focused on architecture, performance, efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with software engineers to debug hardware and ensure product specifications are met.
- Conduct design reviews with peers and managers on Hardware Architecture, Design, Planning, Testing & Validation.
Qualifications
5 to 20 years of experience in electrical / electronics hardware developmentBSEE or MSEE degreeExpertise in PCB layout and routing, with preference for mobile devices (Power Management, Battery, Bluetooth, USB, digital & analog circuits)Strong experience in Testing, Validation, and Debugging of hardwareKnowledge of FPGA is a plusExperience managing other engineers is a plus but not requiredAbility to collaborate with software engineers on microcontroller firmware (RTOS and embedded C)Hands-on engineering ability and strong problem-solving skillsAbility to document engineering analysis and design decisionsProven ability with board bring-up and troubleshootingUnderstanding of EMI / EMC and standards such as UL, CE, FCC is beneficialPosition near Columbia, SC – relocation assistance providedAssistance with H1B transfer if neededFor additional information, contact Maria Aviles at the Orlando office on 407-307-1500 Ext 133; please apply via LinkedIn before you callNotes
