Physical Therapy Assistant

Under the direction and supervision of the Manager and / or a Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapist Assistant performs structured assessment and treatment based on the plan of care developed by a Physical Therapist. The PTA identifies patient reaction to treatments performed, makes recommendations for treatment changes to the Physical Therapist, and documents per policy. In addition, the Physical Therapist Assistant promotes communication of patient care information among team members.

Minimum Education

• Graduate of an accredited Certified Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Evidence of relevant clinical continuing education in area of expertise.
