Title : Senior Mental Health Communication Officer
The Vermont Department of Mental Health (DMH) supports individuals and families in Vermont's communities, helping them succeed. DMH is seeking a Senior Mental Health Communication Officer with exceptional public speaking and writing skills to direct a communications plan, increase awareness, and understanding of mental health services.
The work accomplished by this position is directly linked to the Department of Mental Health's mission to promote mental health as a vital part of overall well-being. The vision is that mental health is a cornerstone of health in Vermont, with caring, inclusive communities that respond with compassion and respect to mental health needs.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
This position is open to all State employees and external applicants. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in a related field and experience in journalism, marketing, advertising, communication, or public relations. Alternately, a Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience or five years of experience in a related field will be considered.
