Senior Category Manager, IT Software

The Senior Category Manager, IT Software will be a senior member of the Technology Sourcing team within Northern's Global Procurement function. Responsible for procurement of IT Software, this role will play a critical role in the development and execution of sourcing strategies to support Northern's strategic sourcing goals.
Major Duties
Knowledge : In depth knowledge of supply chain management and procurement. Demonstrated experience in sourcing for IT, preferably software. Strong analytical, sourcing, negotiation, and communication skills. Technically adept with procurement software; proficient in MS Office Suites with advanced Excel skills. Demonstrated success in time management; superior project management skills, attention to detail; thorough and organized. Strong stakeholder management skills. Experience : Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management or Finance and eight or more years' experience in Sourcing or Procurement related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. MBA or other advanced degree and a professional Procurement / Supply Chain Management designation (e.g. CSCP, CPM) are a strong plus.
Salary Range : $83,100 - 141,300 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
