Security Officer - Access Control Specialist

As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Keewatin, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As an Access Control Officer at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and excellent customer service will support a secure environment for staff and visitors. Pay Rate : $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Day Time Mon 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM Tue 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM Wed 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM Thur 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM Fri 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify any potential security-related concerns.
  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by addressing inquiries, offering directions, and responding to requests for assistance as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the manufacturing and industrial location in a calm and problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal procedures and site policies.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to site guidelines and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Maintain awareness of site-specific hazards and assist in emergency response activities when appropriate.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
