Responsibilities
Coordinate daily litigation docketing workflows
Troubleshoot questions and issues identified by Litigation Docket Specialists and practitionersProcess communications sent to one or more department inboxesAct as back-up support for Litigation Docket SpecialistsDirect the daily clearing of critical deadlinesCollaborate with Manager of Docket Operations to implement new policies and proceduresHelp manage calendar sync, MyView, and court rule modules within docket systemAssist with quality control processes, system audits, and data clean-up projectsAdministrativeReview timesheets each pay period
Manage PTO and overtime requestsTrain new Litigation Docket SpecialistsConduct annual performance evaluations with Manager of Docket OperationsTransfersAssist in the coordination of incoming matters
Partner with client teams to identify and calendar pending deadlines associated with incoming casesFacilitate the opening of matters with client teams and Records DepartmentCreate reports for outgoing transfersWork with Litigation Docket team to close and de-docket outgoing mattersOther DutiesServe as a mentor for Litigation Docket Specialists
Prepare custom reports for internal and external clientsParticipate in the evaluation, testing, and implementation of new technology solutionsStay informed of changes to US federal and state court proceduresPerform additional duties and responsibilities as assignedEducation / Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in litigation docketingAssociate degree or higher preferredStrong substantive knowledge of US federal and state docketing practices. Experience with IP litigation docketing a plus.Familiarity with searching dockets via publicly accessible databases such as PACERKnowledge of litigation docket software, such as Compulaw Vision, Milana, and JuralawStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively and collaboratively as part of multi-office teamPossess strong written and oral communication skillsComfortable learning and adapting to changing workflows and / or procedureQuarles & Brady offers competitive salaries and benefits to employees including paid time off, health, vision, dental, 401k, life, disability, and other benefits. Benefit eligibility is dependent on hours. The range for this position for individuals physically located in Denver is $70,300 to $99,000 annually. The range for this position for individuals physically located in Chicago, San Diego or Washington D.C. is $75,800 to $106,900.
