Job Overview
We're seeking an Electromechanical Technician to ensure the operational readiness and reliability of our autonomous surface vessels for the DoD. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining ASVs and remain instrumental in sustaining mission-critical assets and ongoing operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments of ASVs and their components to identify issues and malfunctions
- Perform timely and efficient repairs, replacements, and adjustments to restore ASVs to optimal functionality
- Collaborate closely with engineering and technical teams to troubleshoot complex problems and implement effective solutions
- Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance procedures to validate repairs and ensure compliance with performance standards
- Document all repair activities, including findings, procedures, and outcomes, adhering to company protocols and industry regulations
- Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for depot repair operations
- Assist in the development and optimization of repair procedures and protocols to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Provide technical support and training to field technicians and end-users as needed
Qualifications
Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferredExperience in depot-level repair and maintenance of complex electronic and mechanical systems, preferably in the maritime or defense industryProficiency in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical, electronic, and mechanical components and systemsFamiliarity with autonomous systems, marine navigation, and control systems is preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailExperience working with the DoD or government contracts is a plusBenefits
