Mortgage Processor

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a a detail-oriented and experienced Mortgage Processor to join their team due to a pending retirement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the loan processing workflow, ensuring compliance with all regulations, and providing excellent service to clients throughout the mortgage process. This role requires a strong understanding of the entire mortgage cycle with special focus on disclosures and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Process mortgage applications and ensure all necessary documentation is collected and verified
• Review contracts and ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and TILA requirements.
• Collaborate with loan officers to facilitate smooth loan origination and processing.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications related to loan processing.
• Communicate effectively with clients, real estate agents, and other stakeholders throughout the mortgage process.

Requirements

Proven experience in mortgage processing or related financial services roles.

Familiarity with LaserPro is highly preferred.

Experience in loan origination or as a loan officer is a plus.

Understanding of contracts, banking procedures, and relevant regulations.

Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in using computer systems for data entry and document management.
