Manager RN Trauma Program
The Manager RN Trauma Program supervises daily activities of the trauma program including education, oversight and validation of registry, process improvement and policies of the injured patients. The Manager supervises, develops, monitors, and provides feedback on operational aspects of the program.

Responsibilities :
- Oversight of the hospital's community trauma education / outreach and injury prevention program to improve awareness and increase support within the community.
- Responsible for identifying, establishing and maintaining relationships with affiliated referring hospitals, Emergency Medical Service agencies, and communities throughout our region.
- Acts as a resource to healthcare professionals in the hospital and the community regarding traumatically injured patients, trauma protocols, and is aligned with American College of Surgeons (ACS) and or state specific Department of Public Health and Environment trauma standards.
- Develops and implements all trauma outreach education and injury prevention activities involving pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Performance Improvement and Patient Safety.
- Oversees community outreach on injury prevention and education.
- Validates trauma benchmarking data and clinical indicators including the registry. Reports findings to appropriate committees and hospital leadership.
- Assist with the budgetary process for the trauma program.
- Develops and reviews mechanisms to design, measure, maintain, and improve the performance and quality of department services including policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines pertaining to the care of trauma patients in partnership with the Trauma Medical Director.

Required Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.Demonstrated critical care and / or trauma / emergency experience in the care of trauma patients.Experience with EMS system, Trauma System, and local / state / national governing bodies responsible for the care of trauma patients (i.e., SEMTAC, ACS).Obtains a minimum of 36 hours of trauma-related continuing education annually (If ACS verified).Experience with Injury Prevention.Experience in program development, teaching, and public speaking.Excellent interpersonal and communications skills are essential.Proven ability to organize multiple, complex tasks required.Proven ability to function independently with minimal supervision is required.Proven capability to be self-directed.Basic computer literacy including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.Preferred Qualifications :
Minimum five years of critical care and / or trauma / emergency experience in the care of trauma patients.Current certification and preferred Instructor : Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) & / or Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), TCAR and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) & / or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC).CEN, CATN, and / or TCRN.Location : Good Samaritan Hospital
