Overview

The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform is seeking Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering tutors. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you'll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and help students learn from your home or via online sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to individual students in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.
  • Honor on-demand tutoring requests when available (Instant Tutoring).
  • Personalize lessons to fit each student's learning style and goals, and explain concepts clearly.
  • Utilize the platform to deliver instruction efficiently and engage students effectively.
  • Invoice for tutoring sessions; the platform handles payments and you receive compensation on a regular schedule.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Expertise in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
  • Ability to adapt lessons to different learning styles and personalize instruction.
  • Preference given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.

    • Compensation and Benefits

  • Base contract rates start at $18 / hour and increase for specialized subjects, with potential to earn up to $40 / hour for continuing sessions with the same student.
