Position Summary :
The Nurse Administrator is responsible for the operation of the therapeutic component of the childcare program, Duties include but are not limited to : selecting and supervising nursing staff, writing policies and procedures, providing training for childcare staff, providing direct nursing care to children, providing resources to parents, preparing required reports, conferring regularly with the Jaycee’s Early Learning Center Director and Child Care Coordinator about center operations, complying with all applicable laws and regulations.
Working hours : 8 : 00am 4 : 00pm M F (40hrs / wk)

Essential Clinical Nursing Duties :
- Provide skilled nursing care to children, including physical assessments, administering medications / treatments, operating medical equipment, and managing emergency interventions.
- Develop, implement, and regularly update individual nursing care plans; maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Communicate effectively with parents, physicians, therapists, and other stakeholders to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care standards.
Staff Supervision & Training :
Supervise, educate, and train childcare staff on specialized conditions and delegated nursing procedures.Design and deliver training programs for childcare providers caring for children with developmental and special healthcare needs.Advocacy & Family Support :
Provide ongoing education, emotional support, and referrals to families as needed.Conduct initial enrollment interviews with parents to assess compatibility and ensure nursing and safety requirements are met.Promote the inclusion of children with special needs alongside their typically developing peers.Professional Development & Policy :
Contribute to continuing education by participating in staff in services and maintaining personal professional growth.Create, review, and update nursing and childcare policies and procedures; ensure compliance with applicable regulations and organizational standards.Adhere to all Jaycee Arc Partnership policies and support community public relations and outreach efforts to recruit families.Family & Community Engagement :
Assist with public relations activities, sharing health-related resources and information to raise awareness and attract enrollment.Act as a community liaison, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for families of children with special needs.Physical & Compliance Requirements :
Lift and assist children up to age five during routine care and activities.Maintain required health screenings, including negative PPD or chest x-ray, to ensure a safe care environment.You are the Ideal Candidate If you have :
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with at least a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.A valid registered nurse (RN) license in Maryland or another Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.A minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience, with at least one year in pediatrics (NICU, PICU, home care, or community health preferred).Current certifications in First Aid and infant, child, and adult CPR.Ability to pass a criminal background check.Total Rewards :
