Whiskey Charlie, a premium DC rooftop bar, is seeking an energized and curious-minded General Manager to join our Leadership Team! A premium rooftop cocktail lounge perched atop the Canopy Washington DC | The Wharf, DC’s quintessential lifestyle and entertainment destination.

The General Manager will oversee every function of the bar, including purchasing, presentation, and quality of food; hiring, training, and development of associates; financial status; and pleasing guests by producing the best food and service.

• Trains all associates in their job duties, including proper seasoning, food production techniques, plate presentation, display work, cleaning, and sanitation.
• Assists in writing schedules, evaluating associates, and directing all personnel.
• Keeps open verbal and written communication between management and associates.
• Writes and presents disciplinary action as needed.
• Provides associates with the tools and equipment they need to do their jobs.
• Participates in weekly staff meetings, weekly BEO meetings with sales, weekly food and beverage meetings, and monthly inventory.
• Ensures all food and drink served is of high quality, properly prepared according to recipe, and expedited to all outlets in a smooth and efficient manner.
• Assists in establishing goals, standards, and objectives to further the prestige and reputation of the organization and result in a more profitable operation.
• Practices food and liquor federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Manages the approved budget and operates within established guidelines regarding costs, expenses, sales, and profit for food and beverage departments.

Compensation range : $67,000 to $99,000
