PRN Certified Medication Aide

Overview

Great outcomes start with great people and Armor has an exciting opportunity for a Certified Medication Aide to join our team at Shawnee County Department of Corrections in Topeka, KS .

Responsibilities

• Dispenses oral, inhalation, and topical medications to patients
• Observes patients for drug reactions and reports any problems to Charge nurse
• Monitors patient's vital signs, calculate medication dosages, and stocks the medication cart
• Records what medications and dosages were given for the day
• Performs routine procedures under established protocols including phlebotomy and electrocardiograms
• Manages and maintains pharmacy stocks of medicine and medical supplies
