Your Role at Batesville
As a Production Group Leader , you will be responsible for providing direct supervision to production employees in department(s) including work scheduling and assignment, employee training, ensuring production quality and quantity requirements are met, evaluating staffing needs, administering safety, communication, teambuilding, etc.

- The expected base salary range for this role is $68,328 – $85,410 per year. Actual compensation within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, skills, experience, and location.

What You'll Do
Clearly and regularly communicates pertinent performance, work schedule, and activities to the work teams.Facilitates 5S by assuring 5S maps and assignment sheets are current and by verifying conformance to the standard conditions.Reports all accidents, injuries, and near misses to operations manager, assures all documentation is completed and tracks countermeasures. Assures proper PPE is used per plant requirement.Analyzes production schedules to estimate hours and create work assignments that meet both internal and external needs.Maintains time and production records.Initiates and / or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.Drives continuous improvement activities in the areas safety, quality, delivery, productivity, & cost.Directly supervises 25-50 hourly employees in the manufacturing operation. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company policies, the Code of Ethical Business Conduct, and applicable laws.Responsibilities include training and developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Other duties may be assigned.What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in any fieldAt least 2 years related manufacturing supervisory experience and / or training.OR equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in manufacturing operations.Nice to Haves
Computer Skills : Microsoft Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (i.e., Charts & Graphs, Pivot Tables, V Look ups, etc.)Ability to work overtime when workload requires it.Lean manufacturing knowledge and / or experience.Experience with JDE.Physical Requirements
