Currently, we are searching for a Des Moines based Sales Director for a national distributor of stone and quartz products with a strong presence in the Des Moines market. This is a senior leadership role, responsible for driving sales, managing the branch team, and building deep relationships with architects, designers, and key accounts.
The primary responsibility is to lead the Des Moines branch by growing sales, managing operations through others, and maintaining strong ties with the local A&D (architect and design) community.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage branch performance and drive sales growth while overseeing sales, customer service, and operations teams
- Cultivate and expand relationships with the A&D community, high-end builders, and key accounts in Des Moines (and beyond)
- Develop sales plans, coach account managers, and lead daily and weekly team activities
- Monitor KPIs, inventory, and budgets, contributing to annual planning and achieving branch goals
- Represent the company professionally with clients, vendors, and internal leadership
REQUIREMENTS
3–5 years of sales management experience in the stone, quartz, building materials, or related industryStrong relationships within the Des Moines A&D and builder communityProven ability to lead teams, grow revenue, and maintain profitabilityFamiliarity with inventory management, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite60-70% regional travel (Des Moines metro, minor travel to extended region)COMPENSATION
