Company Profile : Newport News Nuclear BWXT Los Alamos (N3B) manages the 10-year, $2.1 billion Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract for the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Environmental Management, Los Alamos Field Office. N3B is a limited liability company owned by HII Nuclear Inc. and BWX Technologies, with key subcontractors Longenecker and Associates and Tech2 Solutions. N3B delivers operational discipline, proven approaches and predictable results to the Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract.
Position Location : This position is located in Los Alamos, New Mexico.
Position Summary : N3B is seeking a professional, enthusiastic and energetic individual to fill the position of a Systems Application Analyst. This role is in a fast-paced, primarily Microsoft shop running a 100% virtualized environment. The individual will support the user community in the use of the application; install and test new releases; collaborate with the development team (local and remote) on issues and potential solutions or workarounds. Application and application data support various custom and COTS applications. Onsite support must quickly become knowledgeable on system functionality and the domain-specific data. This position reports to the N3B IT Director of IT, Applications.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
Education and Experience Required
Level 3 : Bachelors' degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline with at least 5 years IT application administration experience preferred. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Q clearance from the U.S. Department of Energy. Preferred : T / SQL and .NET experience; knowledge of workflows, ERPs and general coding skills highly desired.
Level 4 : Bachelors' degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline with at least 9 years IT application administration experience preferred. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Q clearance from the U.S. Department of Energy. Preferred : T / SQL and .NET experience; knowledge of workflows, ERPs and general coding skills highly desired.
Education Equivalency : 2 years of relevant experience for 1 year of college. A combination of education and relevant experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities is acceptable.

Level 3 : Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues.
Level 4 : Represents the organization as prime technical contact on contracts and projects. Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters.
Impact
Level 3 : Contributes to completion of specific programs and projects. Incorrect decisions could cause delays and resource expenditure.
Level 4 : Guides successful completion of major programs and may lead projects.
Working Conditions And Physical Requirements
Physical requirements are conducive to a normal office environment. Visual acuity and manual dexterity required. Lifting up to 20 pounds, with frequent lifting up to 10 pounds.
