Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification and Siemens MRI experience for a mid-shift role at a Level 1 Trauma and Teaching hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a short-term acute care hospital with both inpatient and outpatient settings, including ER, NICU, and Adult ICU
  • MRI department utilizing Siemens scanners : Espree, Trio, Aera, Skyra, Sola, Vida
  • Shift is 4x10 hour mids from 12 : 00 to 22 : 30, with a rotating day off and one Saturday per month and one holiday per rotation if needed
  • Position may float within the hospital to meet service line needs but not to sister facilities
  • Patient populations include adults and neonates, with a wide variety of advanced MRI procedures performed
  • Uses EPIC for charting; Epic experience strongly preferred
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Black scrubs are required
  • Parking available for a fee via monthly parking pass
  • No local candidates accepted within 75 miles of the facility
  • No more than 7 days of RTO allowed per 13-week contract, and no RTO permitted during the first week
  • Permanent former employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • Facial hair must allow for fit testing or must be shaved for respirator fit testing
  • Return staff and contract limits apply : standard travelers can stay 18 months with a 3-month break required; allied staff up to 12 months with a 6-month break
  • Testing, modules, and orientation are provided pre-assignment

    • Requirements

  • Current ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year MRI tech experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • Experience with Siemens MRI equipment required
  • Experience with advanced imaging applications highly preferred, including abdomen, pelvis, head / neck, chest, breast, spine, musculoskeletal, CINE, Diffusion, Gradient Echo Imaging, Image Post-Processing, MIP, MRP, perfusion, spectroscopy, surface coils, T1 / T2 images
  • Ability to start IVs and PACS experience preferred
  • Must be able to work with both adult and neonatal patient populations
  • Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
  • Pending state license accepted if applicable; license required if applicable
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Willingness and ability to float within service line as needed
