Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification and Siemens MRI experience for a mid-shift role at a Level 1 Trauma and Teaching hospital.
Responsibilities
Work in a short-term acute care hospital with both inpatient and outpatient settings, including ER, NICU, and Adult ICUMRI department utilizing Siemens scanners : Espree, Trio, Aera, Skyra, Sola, VidaShift is 4x10 hour mids from 12 : 00 to 22 : 30, with a rotating day off and one Saturday per month and one holiday per rotation if neededPosition may float within the hospital to meet service line needs but not to sister facilitiesPatient populations include adults and neonates, with a wide variety of advanced MRI procedures performedUses EPIC for charting; Epic experience strongly preferredFirst-time travelers are acceptedBlack scrubs are requiredParking available for a fee via monthly parking passNo local candidates accepted within 75 miles of the facilityNo more than 7 days of RTO allowed per 13-week contract, and no RTO permitted during the first weekPermanent former employees must wait 1 year before returning as a travelerFacial hair must allow for fit testing or must be shaved for respirator fit testingReturn staff and contract limits apply : standard travelers can stay 18 months with a 3-month break required; allied staff up to 12 months with a 6-month breakTesting, modules, and orientation are provided pre-assignmentRequirements
Current ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification requiredMinimum of 1 year MRI tech experience requiredBLS certification requiredExperience with Siemens MRI equipment requiredExperience with advanced imaging applications highly preferred, including abdomen, pelvis, head / neck, chest, breast, spine, musculoskeletal, CINE, Diffusion, Gradient Echo Imaging, Image Post-Processing, MIP, MRP, perfusion, spectroscopy, surface coils, T1 / T2 imagesAbility to start IVs and PACS experience preferredMust be able to work with both adult and neonatal patient populationsMust reside at least 75 miles from the facilityPending state license accepted if applicable; license required if applicableEpic charting experience preferredWillingness and ability to float within service line as neededBenefits
