Role Description

East Alabama Title is seeking a Real Estate Closing Attorney to join our team full-time in Phenix City, AL. This on-site role focuses on overseeing all aspects of title operations — from reviewing title searches and commitments to resolving curative issues and issuing final title policies.

The ideal candidate will bring strong title expertise and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance. You'll work closely with our team, clients, and underwriters to ensure clear titles and smooth closings.

Key Responsibilities

Review and approve title searches, commitments, and policies
Identify and clear title defects or encumbrances
Manage title production workflow and staff support
Advise on compliance matters related to title and escrow
Maintain relationships with underwriters, lenders, and real estate professionals
Ensure adherence to state and underwriter regulations

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of real estate and title law

Proven experience in title examination, curative work, and policy issuance

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Active Alabama State Bar membership
